Blush Pink, White and Black Christmas Tree (and 20+ Other Christmas Tree Decorating Ideas)

Blush pink, white and black Christmas tree decor is a non-traditional Christmas color scheme that looks really pretty on a white Christmas tree.

I love trying non-traditional Christmas color schemes like my Kate Spade Christmas tree and my peacock and black Christmas tree. I think this blush pink, white and black Christmas tree may be my favorite one yet!

Blush Pink, White and Black Christmas Tree Decor

Okay…now on to my first tree…

This one is in my upstairs home office, which I re-decorated in blush pink as part of the One Room Challenge last year.

I have never put a tree in this room before, but since it’s the room where I work (ie. spend a lot of time in), I decided this year would be the first.

In keeping with the pink and white color scheme of the room, I went with a pink, white and black color theme for the tree.

My white Christmas tree looks beautiful with the decor in this room.

Wrap The Tree In Ribbon

As usual my first step was to add some ribbon. I love this black and white ribbon with a little bit of bling that I bought at Michael’s last year.

Then I added some transparent blush pink ribbon (also from Michael’s…they have the best ribbon for a very reasonable price if you get it on sale).

I liked the combination so much, I almost stopped there šŸ™‚

The trick to making ribbon look good is to push it into the branches and hang ornaments over it. That way, it doesn’t make the tree look like it’s being strangled by ribbon.

After I have finished hanging all of my ornaments, I go back and pull out little sections of ribbon so that it sticks out. That way, it still adds the tree decor without taking over.

Add Poinsettias

I always like to use flowers as part of my Christmas tree decorations (that must be the gardener in me!)

You can find velvet poinsettias in so many different colors (like these pink and rose gold ones), they will almost always match your tree decor.

And they cover a large area, so they help to fill out your tree.

Hang Lots Of Ornaments

Then I like to hang all different shapes and shades of ornaments.

For this tree, I used a lot of black and white, gold and pink ornaments.

Many of the ornaments were bought, like these beautiful grey glass ones I got at TJ Maxx.

But I also like to do DIY projects with inexpensive glass ornaments.

This one is made by stuffing some tinsel inside a clear glass ornament.

And of course, there are the DIY copper leaf ornaments I made a couple of weeks ago.

I actually bought the glass ornament with the black and gold dots. But you could also make them pretty easily with some sharpie markers.

Add Some Texture

Since glass ornaments are all shiny and smooth, I like to add some other ornaments with texture to create contrast. Picks that stick out from the branches, like these gold birds on branches, are perfect.

Pink butterflies also help to add some interest.

And of course, pine cones are a natural addition to any tree.

The Finished Tree

After all of that, I ended up with a tree that fits into my pink and white office perfectly!

Even with the lights off, it looks pretty between my favorite fuchsia chairs.

This is how it looks from my desk. It definitely gives my some incentive to go upstairs to work šŸ™‚

Where To Buy Ornaments

I bought many of these ornaments at HomeGoods so the original versions are not available any more. But I’ve tried to find similar options that would work instead.

  1. I love this. Where do you buy your ornaments? Iā€™m doing a black and white theme this year and Iā€™m looking for similar ornaments to these.

    1. Thanks, Lauren! I bought a lot of the black and white ornaments from HomeGoods and TJ Maxx so it’s hard to say if they’ll still have them (they might have something similar). But I added a section to the post (close to the bottom) with links to some other black and white ornaments I found online in case it helps.

    1. Thanks, Michelle! I’ve never done a blush pink tree before either, but I think it’s going to be annual event from now on šŸ™‚

    1. Thanks, Donna! I do really like having a tree in my office…I get to decorate it exactly how I want it šŸ™‚

  2. Girl, I cannot imagine decorating 7 trees! I can barely do one. I love how plump and fabulous this tree is. Beautiful job. Makes me smile that you love Christmas and have so many trees. Merry Christmas!

    1. Thanks, Cindy! I think I’m a little crazy doing that many trees. But it does look very Christmas-y around here šŸ™‚
